Variations sur les passions humaines

If beings from the farthest reaches of the solar system were to arrive on our planet, how would they make contact with us? Through what means—what language, what signs, what tools of understanding? How would they respond to our irresistible impulses, our inconsistencies, our obsessions? Would they wish to become like us?

In this fictional stage piece, five visitors attempt to become human in order to explore our behaviors—reimagining and performing them as light and playful at times, yet often complex, both unrestrained and restrained at once. And it is precisely when they begin to truly resemble us that their strangeness becomes unsettling.
